Omg Fujis are rad. I first tried one when i was working in a fruit and vegie shop about 6 years ago. Now they are pretty much the only apples i like to eat. Others just don’t cut it. Nothing beats the sweet crisp cream coloured flesh of the Fuji.
I’ve done some research and found that these little beauties were developed by growers at the Tohoku Research Station in Morioka, Japan in the late 1930′s. It is a cross between the two American apple varieties, the Red Delicious and old Virginia Ralls Genet.

Fujis are stupidly sweet and crunchy.
