Well i was just alerted to this article on news.com.au about a massive floating junk pile in the middle of the pacific ocean. I must say it is quite alarming indeed. As my girlfriend said, why didn’t we know about this before!?

After a quick bit of googling i found an article by Charles Moore, the man who discovered it, on Natural History Mag.
EDIT: Just found another article from SMH here: The plastic killing fields.
I’m fascinated as to how this is not more widely known? I mean, i know everything huhu.
