Litfuse Films has created what was believed at the time to be the first piece of machinima using Team Fortress 2.

In the film a BLU Pyro runs around 2fort, at first you don’t realise that he is all alone, and maybe he doesn’t either, but soon the repetitiveness wares thin. For those of you that are regular online payers, it is easy to sympathize with Pyro. If you have ever been on a 24/7 2fort server waiting for someone else to join you know the feeling well, firing off rounds at random and being taunted by an annoyingly calm cow.

The film manages to ride a fine line between subtlety and utter boredom, apparently an earlier version had some narration but they decided to go with just the music and minimal vocal input from the characters. The score by Lars Erik Fjosne is beautiful and complements the film well, sad and quirky.

This is an excellent example of what is achievable in the world of Machinima.
